The magistrates are pinned down by bandits. All this as we learn the story of how a hostile force infiltrated the city…seeking revenge.

It’s tax season. One of the biggest duties of an Emerald Magistrate is collecting Imperial taxes. Can Ryoko Owari’s new magistrates get the Emperor his due, or will they come up short for the Son of Heaven, or will they make their own pockets a little heavier in the process? Plus, Taiyo does his best to find out all he can about Yugare…but for what purpose?
