An Actual Play gaming podcast that seeks to use and reviews a wide variety of short and long form games.

 

I have never really been good with words, thus I thought a podcast would be a good idea.

None of the above sentence is accurate.

David and I have been playing these make-em ups we call roll-playing games together for almost 15 years, and whenever a game went really well, there was always a wish that there was some kind of record of how good it was. Of course there were a lot of games that thankfully we can now only reminisce about how bad they were, and can poke fun from hindsight (ending a several year campaign with it all being a dream of characters trapped in the villian’s lab).

We wanted to get into podcasting and legitimately didn’t know what form that might take. We pitched a good number of ideas before we settled on our sister podcast Shitfaced to Face. But that aint this. As we were talking that through we decided to grow some gumption and start recording the games we were playing…I mean no one’s done that…right?

So here’s the plan:

We wanted to present both long and short form games. We’ll be publishing an episode of our long campaign (games that last more than 3 sessions) one week and then a short game (a one shot or games that last 3 or fewer sessions) the next week. Lather, rinse, repeat…pretty much till one of us dies.

In conclusion, that is what Mrs. Clark has taught us all about the Constitution of the United States of America. Thank you Bridgewater Elementary School.
