Ryoko Owari: City of Lies Episode 2

After arriving in a city known for corruption, the magistrates face a challenge; they’re being courted by two of the city’s power brokers…but who will they meet with, and who will they snub?

After being interviewed by Asako Anjo, the assistant of the Emerald Champion - the hand of the Emperor’s justice himself, Bayushi Taiyo was made the lead magistrate (the contact person between the Imperial administration and the magistrates in the city).

After meeting with Anjo, and later Aji badgering their predecessor’s widow, the magistrates discover that they have been invited to meet with two of the cities most powerful players; the Shosuro family that runs the city’s government, and the incredibly wealthy and influential Unicorn Clan.

The invites are for the same night which means, someone will get snubbed unless they play their cards right.

What’s the chance they can get out of this without making an enemy?

In the second largest city in the Emerald Empire, there are four new Emerald Magistrates appointed to enforce the Emperor’s laws. On the top of their list of priorities is find out who killed their predecessor. But can they accomplish their goals without being corrupted by a city that is known as the biggest den of sin in Rokugan?
